Ambulance checklist by AMG

1. Vehicle Documentation

VDI (Vehicle Daily Inspection) completed and signed
Logbook started at start of shift and completed at end of shift (start/end mileage, fuel, notes)
Any faults/damage reported to manager or maintenance

2. General Cleaning

Interior swept, mopped, and wiped down
High-touch surfaces disinfected (rails, handles, etc.)
Cab area cleaned (dashboard, wheel, controls)
Bins emptied and re-lined
Clinical/general waste correctly disposed
Sharps bin secure and below fill line
Exterior checked for damage or dirt
Exterior washed down when applicable
If exterior wash not done, raise awareness for it to be completed at the earliest time

3. Equipment & Stock Check

Oxygen (main & portable) levels checked
Entonox level checked
Defib/AED present, clean, in-date pads
Trauma bag restocked (bandages, scissors, etc.)
Resus bag fully stocked and ready
PPE restocked (gloves, aprons, masks)
Cleaning materials available (wipes, spray, spill kit)
Clipboard stocked with PRFs and pens
Infection control supplies (vomit bowl, tissues, etc.)
If anything was used during the shift, it must be restocked before handover.
Any other stock used during shift to be replenished.
